KRS is once again opening its doors to the next generation of developers through its 2026 Internship Bootcamp. A 6–7 week, in-person programme hosted at their Claremont, Cape Town offices. With a legacy of launching successful IT careers, this bootcamp gives young South Africans a rare opportunity to gain industry-level skills in a fast-paced, real-world software development environment.
KRS has run internship bootcamps for over a decade, with many alumni now working as full-time developers across South Africa’s tech landscape. The 2026 intake is expected to welcome ten interns. All of whom will be supported by a senior mentor team and given the chance to earn a certificate and, in some cases, a job offer.
🧠 What You’ll Learn
KRS structures the internship around real software development projects that use Agile methodologies. Interns will be gaining hands-on experience in industry best practices such as:
- Scrum and team rituals
- Test-Driven Development (TDD)
- Extreme Programming (XP) principles
- Domain-Driven Design (DDD)
- Working with databases in real applications
- Team collaboration using version control and continuous integration
Throughout the programme, each intern is guided by a senior developer and Scrum Master who provides structured weekly feedback. By the end of the internship, graduates will have built up solid technical, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.

This internship is ideal for South Africans who are either:
- Recent graduates with a completed IT-related degree, diploma or certificate
